Famous Anthony Bourdain quotes about Paula Dean:

Via His Twitter: ”Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later.”

Interview with Eater.com: ”When your signature dish is hamburger in between a doughnut, and you’ve been cheerfully selling this stuff knowing all along that you’ve got Type 2 Diabetes… It’s in bad taste if nothing else.”

Famed celebrity chef, Paula Dean, finally let us in on her big “secret”, she has Diabetes. Not a joke for any other person, but with someone who’s been selling rich and fatty recipes for the “everyman” it raises a few eyebrows, and a few “No Shit(s).”

On the CBS Morning show, when confronted for lying about having  diabetes for 2 years, Dean claimed she has always stressed moderation on her show. Her shows are known for Southern American Cuisine ( i.e., fried chicken, dumplings, gravy, and a lot of butter).

A diabetes educator, who preferred to remain nameless, had a few words when told about the finding. “Oh of course she had it, just look at what she cooks.”

Below are some randomly selected YouTube videos from her shows. Is Paula Dean a Con artist?

One Response to You Didn’t Fool Us Paula Dean

  1. Matt Lareevs says:

Don’t get me wrong, I do love me some Paula Deen. With that said, I think it is fairly irresponsible to promote (knowingly) unhealthy food, especially when you are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes. On top of that, it does not represent Southern Cuisine.

I wish her well, but I wish her to be more responsible publicly.
