Madonna’s new fashion line, Truth or Dare, has snagged Aldo’s first licensing agreement ever, according to Footwear News. With a fragrance launching this April 2012, the shoe line will be the 2nd product line from the brand to be released this Fall.
Truth or Dare is the 2nd lifestyle brand to come from the Queen of Pop with her longtime stylist Arianne Phillips; the first, Material Girl, is a successful junior’s line she designed with daughter Lourdes for Macy’s. While Material Girl is targeted at the 16-24 age range, the newly launched brand is aimed more at the grown-and-sexy demographic of 27-50 year-old women. The shoes, ranging from booties to heels to flats, will have a dance inspired theme, so much so that her and her dancers are in the works to wear modified versions for her upcoming tour.
The Truth or Dare by Madonna brand is aimed at Madonna’s core demo, women ages 27-50 who have a timeless style and an innate sex appeal. Truth or Dare by Madonna was created to showcase the dichotomy that is Madonna, both powerful icon and feminine beauty (PR Newswire).
With an $89-349 expected price range and a wide retail distribution (Nordstroms, Asos, and Macy’s, to name a few), the shoe line should do very well if the quality and style match. Next for Truth or Dare, intimates to be launched later this year, and legwear and accessories in 2013.
